#WorldKidneyDay is a global health awareness campaign focusing on the importance of the kidneys and reducing its associated health problems. On this occasion, Hiranandani Hospital Thane, Kidney Warriors Foundation and Rotary Club Of Thane Royales have organized an Awareness Program for the general public. Dr Sundar Krishnan (Consultant Physician and Diabetologist), Dr Mihir Kulkarni (Consultant Nephrologist) and Ms Sayali Parab (Dietitian) will be speaking on a range of topics related to kidney health.

World Heart Day celebration by Brahmand Katta
Free medical camp on topics 'Women Nutrition' and 'First Aid for Heart Diseases' by Brahmand Katta.
The renowned socio - cultural platform in Thane 'Brahmand Katta' is also engaged and active in personal and public health related issues.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development is observing the 5th 'Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022' from September 1 to 30, 2022. Also 'World Heart Day' is celebrated on 29th September. Considering these occasions 'Brahmand Mahila Pariwar Sangh' (under Brahmand Katta) in association with Hiranandani Hospital, Thane, organised a free camp.
Dietition Ms. Sayali Parab explained diet needs of woman and threw a light on each and every aspect of diet to the core.
Mr. Nilesh Kadam and Dr. Priyanka Tyagi (emergency dept) handled a very important session. Both of them explained immediate first aid actions in case of any medical ailment especially heart problems. It included what to do if a person faints or in case of heart attack. Communication techniques, checking breathing, giving heart compressions, giving breath, correct positioning of patients, what to do and what should be avoided in such situation, all these points were expained nicely. Theory was explained along with the demo session. These lectures were followed by question answer sessions. People interacted actively and all queries were answered by experts.
Audience was highly satisfied with this camp as this is the need of an hour. We all are living fast and highly stressful life. So, such medical emergencies are seen and are increasing day by day. Such camps are helpful for awareness and training of people of all age groups.

#PedalforEarth : Presenting the 1st edition of House of Hiranandani Thane Cyclothon on Sunday 2nd Oct'22
A Basic Life support (BLS) session was undertaken by HIRANANDANI HOSPITAL THANE in association with the Wheels & barrels Cycling Club (Thane Cyclists Community).
The session was conducted by Dr Priyanka Tyagi and Nurse Indira Jeboy. They demonstrated techniques of Basic life support on a mannequin. They educated the participants about the steps of Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation. Participants learnt this life-saving procedure through active participation, thereby equipping them with the necessary confidence to tackle life-saving emergencies.
